Randy’s parents owned a funeral home/ambulance service in a
small town in Indiana.Prior to EMS
rules and regulations, funeral homes were a primary provider of ambulance
Randy obtained his EMT-B training
while a senior in high school in 1978.
He received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Milligan College, TN.
In 1993, he rejoined the family business
and became the operations manager for Seals Ambulance Service, later purchasing
the business from his parents in 1996.
During this time Randy and his wife, Marie, grew the business from a
small family-owned operation which completed about 800 runs per year to a
multi-million dollar organization which treated and transported over 45,000
patients in 2015.
Marie and Randy sold the
organization to Priority Ambulance Service, a national ambulance service
headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. Randy
retired as the president of Seals Ambulance Service and accepted a new position
with Priority Ambulance as Director of Operations Support in 2017.
Randy and Marie have two grown married
children and four grandchildren. They subsequently
relocated to Kentucky in 2022 to enjoy being near their family and has started
his second career as in real estate.
His hobbies include travel,
reading, hiking and relaxing with friends and family.
